Seen through the fields

In the still of the night, as the moon shines overhead, the keen eye may catch a thin black line on the horizon.  If not for the moon's reflection, it would be totally black.

Many leagues away into the distance the moon reflects off of a solid strand touching down to the ground from the heavens.  It remains for several hours, then fades from sight.

Leaning on a post in the edge of the fields, arms folded loosely and brows knit in silent thought, the Uordeq's eyes settled on the line on the horizon. She looked none to pleased as she watched, brow furrowing deeper.
