For Hire - Adventurers to accompany me as I travel to other shards, on a mapping mission. Travel to unknown destinations is always safer in numbers! Compensation negotiable.
- Odelia Gray
(OOG: I'm going to miss both of the next two events, so this is a way to take my character out of Jastrey for awhile. If by chance your event schedule looks similar, or you're simply not going to be playing your character for awhile, come span jumping! Maybe we can convince someone on the Conspiracy team to give us some play-by-post time for our adventures on another shard! **crosses fingers** ;) )
A small form in too-large robes and a too large hat scurries up to the town post. Quietly the Gnomeling reads Odelia's notice on the town post. Pulling out a quill and ink from her back she quickly writes along the bottom of the letter in shockingly neat and flowing cursive. "I have some shard searching to do myself as I search for another master of my art, and would be thrilled to join you for part of your journey. That is, if you would care to have me along. - Kollista Nightbane"
Putting her quill and ink away, she skips away to gather her things, alternately humming and murmuring to herself in a manner quite contradictory to her well written note.
(OOG: I'm taking Kolli out for a good while. So I'm just gonna pretend I headed off shard with you, if you don't mind. It saves some time on thinking up a new story idea thing lol.)
(OOG: I know I've played Cail this past event, but I haven't got rid of Garrok yet, so I'll send him along with you.)
Garrok, walking slowly, strides up to the town post to take down his previous ad he put up. At the same time he spots Miss Odelia's note about wanting travelling companions. He smiles gently and without saying a word, uses his charcoal stick to scribble a short note next to the gnomes':
Miss Odelia,
I have decided to travel with you and keep you company on your way around the shards. If we ever find our way to Glesmyr I'll have to take you to see the inn where the finest fish are prepared over hot embers right in front of your eyes.
--Garrok
Odelia had been walking toward the bazaar when Ashe found her. "Well, hello" she laughed at his excitment. "Can you bear to wait a couple days? I'd like time to poke through the scrolls again in the library and to stock up on traveling supplies. I thought it might be a good idea to have a few extra bandages and such...
"What would you think about leaving on the Third's Ninth of Gephirel?"
(OOG: 3 days to give anyone else that wants to jump in time to express interest in joining our adventure!)
Ashe floating in super excited circles and figure eights contemplates Odelia's words.
"Three days you say?!? hummmm three days!!!! ok!!! Three days it is!!!"
"PACKING!!!! what an idea!!! "I never thought of that!!!" "What ever should I bring?!?"
Ise will bring...MY MAGICS!!! HE HE HE!!!.
It was just past dawn on the morning of the Third's Ninth of Gephirel when Odelia knocked on cabin doors to gather the adventurers that were to accompany her. "Can you meet me at the town post in 1 hours time? Assuming it's still there since yesterday, there's an open span a few hours hike from here. I'd like to find it again with plenty of daylight to spare."
--
Just about an hour later, the map maker waited near the town post with her traveling gear packed and her sword hanging on her belt. As she waited for the others to arrive, she scribed a few last notes in her journal.
(OOG: last kollista post since respend is complete. Assume she follows XD)
Kollista skipped back to the post, carrying her things and ready to go as Odelia requested. Bouncing pleasantly, she grins at the woman, "Kollista here and ready to go whenever, Miss Odelia!"
When the rest of the group would assemble, she would follow them on their hike to the span.
Garrok rubs what little sleep there is from his eyes and travels to the town post to meet the group that was gathering. His pack was fully loaded, for he did not expect to return, but none the less, he had feelings for this little town and its not so cold weather.
"Hello, everyone," he said with a yawn. "I'm ready to leave when you guy's are!"
Valez breaks from his meditation knowing the time had come and gets up. He walks towards the group of adventureres and nods to Odelia. "Valez Du'Urth at your service." He carried several swords and a shield with him. He didn't wear his black mask today, but his lips were set in a grin, eager for adventure and battle.
The cartographer looked over the adventurers that had chosen to join her, feeling grateful for both the company and the safety that traveling with a group offered. "Seems we're all here then," she said with a smile, "and all ready to depart by the looks of it. Shall we?"
Odelia picked up her pack and slung it over a shoulder, then started toward the road that led out of Jastrey. "We've got somewhat of a hike this morning, I'm afraid. A few hours walk, at least."
(OOG: I'll try to get a PM thread started for our off-shard adventurers as soon as I can!)
