Had some brain babies on the way back from Raleigh, and had a brief meeting with the Twilight Council to see how the framework held up. Here's the current averarching plan for the September event. Where names are given in brackets they have been given to that person to either write or oversee. September Event Theme: Dhuroscht

Friday PM:

• Friday (early): [Reid] Dark Pilgrimage: Pilgrimage to the site of the Jastrey Spire, confrontation between Crystal Fist camp and Brethren
• Friday (late): [Lainey] Bringing the Light: Attempt to save the sacrificed Chosen's soul.*
• Friday (late): [Brian] Heart of Darkness: Dhuroscht flexing muscle to attempt to reclaim heart from Huel Vor.

Companion Mod Effect: if they save the baby soul, Dhuroscht is noticeably weakened; Dhuroscht fails to get heart regardless, but if they also fail to rescue baby soul then the paladin losses will be higher.
*Lainey: " Well I had it as likely either way, the soul is being removed from Dhuroscht's power, either the Hands of Fate way where the baby returns to the body but is grown and such, or the soul goes to the Gates of Judgment and likely ends up in the Prime or for reincarnation."
 

Saturday AM:

• Saturday (early): [Reid] Fiendish Coup: Zangdrax's campaign against Dhuroscht/Bid for power - pointing out Dhuroscht's continued failure, and/or his weakness (if soul saved Friday night).
• Saturday (early): [Lainey]Matters of the Heart: Dhuroscht's brethren continued assault of Huel Vor; emerging need to protect and relocate heart again - perhaps finding a way to destroy it permanently.
• Saturday (late): [FuChu]Snuffed Out: Mini "field battle"; between Zangdrax's forces, Dhuroscht's forces, and the forces of Huel Vor/paladins. The fiends make off with the Stone of Twilight.*

*FuChu: "At some point he targets Delgren and (if applicable) Althena the blasted Ixifar who tooted about the light this and the light that. He will show them a special kind of darkness. The kind that will erase all memories of the light. He summons Oathbreaker and impales them and calls out (I have a few ideas for taglines, Desecrate, Soul Shatter, Soul absorb etc really, really scary shit) they fall to the ground and the demon happy with himself leaves the players no more time to disrupt their work. They open a portal and take the stone with them.
The injured Paladin is completely destroyed. His order lies dead or dying in the halls. The Stone of Twilight taken by a fiend. Soon the 7th death will rise again and take all life with it. He seems broken, almost accepting of his own death. The light has been eclipsed. there is no hope. Then, he looks up. In the darkened sky there is a light. It is weak but it still does shine. He steels himself and crawls to Althena 9if applicable). 'I shall never accept the darkness. This is no end but a beginning. Your soul will not feed the pit. No, not on my watch'; He begins his chant. He calls upon his god. He brokers a deal. He pleads and begs. He knows what must be done. Field Life is called and the his fellow brothers begin to stir from the floor. His body ignites burning golden. 'This is my failure. May the light Guide your path'; At the cost of his own salvation he resurrects the player/players, forces of Huel Vor/paladins. as he slowly turns to ash."
 

Open Play:

• [Brian] Zangdrax's Gift: I want to give him the ability to grant event long limited wish in exchange for loyalty - players will gain the benefit, but are plot compelled to assist Zangdrax - failure to do so, or attempts to backstab Zangdrax or break the deal results in the loss of benefit and slay/dissipate (this is powerful soul selling magic basically - you made a "deal with a devil"). Obviously needs owner approval.
• [Fu Chu] Light Lost: Nightmarish visions plague the players.
• [Reid] Triumvirate: Reid: "The three demons from the box assist their master"
• Need more ideas for content.

Finale:

• Field Battle: [Brian] Dark Rebirth/Infernal Ascension: Ritual in howling canyon temple - if baby not saved, ritual us to bring Dhuroscht to full power and end world  - Zangdrax will actually fight with PCs against him (as he wants the power). If baby saved and Dhuroscht weakened, ritual is to immortalize Zangdrax and usurp Dhuroscht's power. Either way, PCs definitely want to stop it.
