Although Cail was followed directly out of the tavern, apparently there seemed to be more drive in his step than had originally had seen. Being unable to find him for a long time, those that followed would come across him just outside of town sprawled on his back in the middle of the road fast asleep. As they draw near, they see a giant Great Horned Owl fly away with scrolls, tied with blue ribbon, attatched to it's legs, leaving two of it's golden feathers to drift down upon the ground in front of Cail.
As she lifted his eye lid she saw the brilliant contrast of whiteish blue as compared to its normal hazel color. But this was only for a moment. After what was a seconds' gaze the color faded back to its original hue and both eyes snapped open to look straight into her own. He looked away with a slight look of aggrivation and mumbled under his breath, "Damn bird. I should have known he would have done that."
Standing up, Cail brushed the gravel dust from his clothes and straightened his tabard and hood. He looked at Akon again and, letting the aggrivation enter his tone, said, "So you felt like stalking someone today it seems."
After Jael and Zwey had exited the tavern Jael did much of the same thing. Looking around in every direction and following out some distance before turning around and trying another. He was not tracker and yelled out in frustration. Though after following the road he spotted Akon and Cail. Taking off running Jael saw that Cail stood and breathed a sigh of relief slowing to appraoch them at a normal pace. "Cail? Are you alright?" He asked with concern as they approached, the energies of the prime flaring that were flaring up in his hands Jael extinguished seeing that the healing was not needed.
Akon leaned back, her face back to it's usual stoic monotony as his eyes looked up into hers. She rose as he did, taking a slight step back, hard red eyes upon him unwavering. "Perhaps." She stated with her stern, dark tone. Saying little more, she eyeing him over critically, tome tucked under one hand, and the other resting on the hilt of her blackblade.
Cail gave Jael an even greater look of distaste, but after a second, he straightened out his face to that of indifference and said after turning away from him to say, "Im fine, thank you." He flicked his eyes around to Jael's hands and then to Akon's as they rested on her sword. "No need for alarm."
"You seem to be more on edge than we...Cail." She stated directly, tone still stern, and she was relatively relaxed herself, hardly more alert and ready than the usually alert Uordeq was. Her eyes lifted to glance suspiciously at the last of the shadow of the bird against the sky as it took its course away from them.
Jael raised an eyebrow to all that was going on. He agreed with Akon though did not voice it. After a moment he spoke, "Well good then..." He was unsure what else to say, but something did not sit right with him. "Back to the tavern then...? Wait what did an bird do to you?"
Looking back to Jael, Cail said, "Yes, well, that particular bird is a very powerful Druid Seer named Eldred and he better pray that he doesn't come around me again for a long time. As for the tavern, sure I could use a good strong drink to get rid of this headache."
Jael did not find it odd for Akon to do such a thing, but felt that the timing was odd. "Yes the tavern for a drink, that does sound good. I need to finish reading my books anyways." He straightened his tunic out and readjusted the belts on his side before making to head that way, giving a small smile to Akon in response to her gesture.
Cail looked away from the couple back towards town and said quietly, "It happened again. I left so no one would see. Then I came to see Eldred to seek a more powerful incantation to hold the changes back. But I got carried away and yelled a bit so he put me to sleep. I may or may not have threatened to kill him."
Jael frowned at Cail's response, "I wish to help you friend. But I do not know how. I feel I know very little of what plauges you. If you are willing to talk about it I would gladly listen over a drink. I am not exactly well studied but I believe I could help in some way." His words were sencere and his eyes remained on Cail watching for any emotion or response to show through.
Cail turned his head just enough to where he could see Jael out of the corner of his eye and had a hard look on his face, but again turned to indifference.
"Maybe one day, Jael. For now I feel a drink will suit me just fine," he said with the same quiet voice. With that, Cail threw up his hood and and headed down the path to the tavern, leaving the couple behind him.
Zwey had caught up with the group as Cail had come too, and reasumed fiddling with his power while the conversation porceeded. He stopped when Cail mentioned his problem, figuring it best not be bringing untamed energy to for near the wizard. He followed the party back to the tavern, feeling a story on the winds.
Jael had a neutral look about him as Cail walked away. "I figure he will talk about it when ready." He said to no one in particular. "I suppose he does, though I know little of it. Well Zwey, I guess I am to go back to the tavern. My books are still in there." He looked to Akon, intending that they walk together.
Akon appeared just as quickly as she had disspeared outside of the tavern, on the road just beyond the steps of the Shady corner. Tome in hand, she narrowed her gaze down the path, trying to spot where Cail went. Displeased that he could not be seen, she scanned every direction before walking further along down the path. She had just about given up on finding the man when she saw the flash of golden wings catch the sunlight in the distance.
Making her way further down the road, her eyes finally caught a glimpse of Cail. The blackclad woman knelt beside him gently, looking him over for injury or harm. A slender finger delicately brushed aside the hair near his right eye, placing a thumb over the lid of it and pulling it back to look within it.
