Talk to me

Kirell returns to the tavern and pulls up a chair opposite Master Dalgoon.

"Talk to me of Dragon Lords old man."

"Please don't dominate the rap Jack if you've got nothin new to say."

The wizard, seeing that the druids do not wish to be ported to their grove, takes a seat in front of the dragon, angori, and dwarf of the bladed gavel. Smileing broadly he says, "What will we speak of? Dragon lords, what dragon lords? Oh soup!" The man digs in to the turnip Haggash that Corvax did not touch.

Looking a little supprised at Dalgoons response.
"Don't play with me old man. You spoke of Dragon Lords that threaten this shard."
"I am charged with the defence of this town and must know of any threat."
"Don't be coy speak up!"

Friends come and go, but enemies gather at my feet in a heap!

"You should know of the dragon lords." the wizards smile fades. "You are an agent of them, an angori twisted and enchanted with draconic power." The man sneers. "When they come I am interested to see which of them dominates you first and can keep you as their thrall. Only the strongest Dragon can rest a thrall away from another dragon, unfortunatly it often spells the doom for a thrall that betrays his former master."

Kirell swallows his rage, as he begins to speak.
"I am my own master, and as I told you before this enchantment came on me as I killed Scorch. I will not be dominated by any, not even a dragon."
"Tell me what you know of Drathenix and it's followers."
"I am to be summoned to a ritual to put Scorch to rest. Do you know anything of this."

"The Precious made me do it."

"You know not of the way dragons curse do you? You are part dragon now, that means that you can be dominated by dragons. Being only part dragon you have no chance to refuse one. Any and all dragons are your lord now, for better or ill. As for this ritual to lay a dragon to rest....." The wizard pauses, "I have never heard of such a thing."
"Drathenix is an immortal. Some shards are completely dominated by their dragons, that is what Scorch was attempting with this shard I believe. The people of these dominated shards warship Drathenix in their dragon?s name.?

The Angori  is clearly enraged.
"I will not be dominated."
Kirell pauses to calm himself
"I apoligize for my outburst Master Dalgoon. Can you tell me of any way I can free myself of this curse?"

"The Precious made me do it."

"A dragon curse is no mortal magic. Dragons are ageless and therefore weave ageless spells, I will look into this." Dalgoon smiles at the apology. ?You know, if it were me I would have thrown myself into the nether, instead of living with such a curse. Perhaps Thallaneir will find a cure for his cursed mark, and that will lead us to an answer to your dilemma.? the wizard looks hopeful and sincere.

"I am in your debt Master Dalgoon."
"I will await the fruits of your research."
The Angori pauses.
"There is no limit to how far I will go to protect Jastrey, as I have vowed."
Paladins are not alone in their willingness to sacrifice all for their beliefs!"

"The Precious made me do it."

Dalgoon clears his throat. "An ill wind is blowing near the glade I fear. Have you any way to check on your brother corvax and that little one?" the wizened elder asks.

"No Dalgoon the Glade is a secrete, and sacred place."
"I once spent days in search of it to no avail"
"Tin has Ecelece shared any information on the location of the Glade with you?"
"Kevass we have to gather the brotherhood, it sounds like Corvax may be in trouble."

"The Precious made me do it."

There is a loud thud from the kitchen as a pan is tossed onto a counter. The wooden counter smolders as it cools the pan and fills the kitchen with an acrid smoke of wood and oil.
A few moments Tinryn, with detirmination, charges through the tavern from the kitchen door to the front door. Carrying a shield on his back, a quiver on his belt, and an arrow nocked in the bow in his hand he looks like he is prepared for war.
"I am going into the woods. No idea where I will be led to, but I will find my way to my Ecelece. If anyone follows, that is fine by me."

"Dinner and drinks are on me Dalgoon."
Please remember to ge back get me on any information you come across on the Dragon Cult we spoke of."

"The Precious made me do it."

"Tin, I do understand your sense of urgency. but haste will only lead to trouble."
"I have studied the ways of the Druids and believe I can find the sacred glad, but if there is trouble charging in will avail us nothing."
"We must gather the Brotherhood and use numbers to our advantage."

"The Precious made me do it."

"Besides they will be fine," the wizard states, matter of factly. "The have the bear and the new tree fellow with them."

"What do I owe you for the habbash and stout? Oh and do you have any of Abigail's pies?" the wizard looks hopeful as he produces a small sack of coins from a sleve.

Kirell calls out to Tinryn.
"Tin let us go find our friends. I have to pay for a couple of meals and several pints of ale. I'm certain that Ecelece would not forgive me if I simply left the "Shiny" on the counter."
Without hesitation Kirell is out the door and headed for what his intuition tells him is The Glade.

"The Precious made me do it."

Making his way to his feet slowly the old wizard brushes the crumbs off of his robes and calls to his staff. ?Stick! Here!? the mage calls and the staff of Celderwood flies from the corner to his awaiting hand. ?I shall return by the next moon,? the wizard says to no one in particular and begins to recite an incantation.

With a thunderous boom the wizard disappears in a wink of smoke. Master Dalgoon is gone.
