Theurge Revisions

Theurges were the last to be addressed prior to last season, so I thought it only fair they should be first in line this season. Here's what changed:

  • Proficiencies
    • The Passive Healing proficiency no longer breaks when you use a Retort or killing blow.
    • The Wild Form Items and Wild Form Speech proficiencies have been combined into the new Hybrid Form proficiency, which includes the benefits of both.
    • All theurges may now learn Melee 2 at level 10 and Melee 3 at level 20.
    • A new line or proficiencies has been added that allows many classes to pick up new damage types for their attacks. All theurges may learn Prime Weapon, multi class mage/theurges may learn Prime Spell, druids may learn Wild Form Prime and Wild Form Tox, and shamans may learn Fire Weapon, Ice Weapon, and Shock Weapon.
  • Merits
    • The Nature's Bounty druid merit has been dropped.
    • The Healing Touch merit has been revised. It now makes Rejuvenate, Convalescence, and Ixifar Mercy at-will actions. The hierophant requirement has also been dropped, so any theurge may now learn it at level 3.
    • The Martyrdom merit has been revised. The level requirement has been reduced to 1.
    • Shamans may now learn the Spirit Union merit at level 6, which allows them to use Make Whole, Revitalize, and Regenerate without an incantation.
    • Shamans may now learn the Ancestral Weapon merit at level 12, which automatically applies a Hone effect to any weapon they wield.
    • A new line of merits has been added that allows level 6 theurges to convert specific actions into Healing Wind. This includes Conservator, which allows druids to convert Feral Swipe; Shepherd, which allows hierophants to convert Awakening and Freedom; and Templar, which allows Crusaders to convert Smite.
  • Actions
    • The hierophant Deliverance action has been dropped.
    • All theurges may now learn Convalescence at level 2, which upgrades the standard Rejuvenate into a Burst Recover.
    • All Empower actions, including the Hierophant's Sanctify Arms action, have been made into Burst actions. Their prerequisites remain the same.
    • The levels of most theurge Retort actions have been reduced.
  • Treasure
    • Druids may now acquire pelts. Pelts are equipment worn on the head which can be enchanted like weapons and apply to wild form attacks.
    • Sacred Oak has been added as a new weapon material, which allows the user to deliver a Retort action as a Reach action instead.
