Glimmer can be seen strolling down the road at a leisurely pace. She walks until she comes upon a house just off the beaten path. Glimmer walks to the door and knocks softly. "Dearest Wreynn, are you home? I'd like to sit a spell with you if you'll allow me the time."
Glimmer slides her boots off and leaves her bow and sword at the door. She opens the door to the cabin and announces 'Well Uncle Wreynn, I've been looking everywhere for you. Though I suppose it isn't Uncle anymore, as I've grown quite a bit. I heard you were around this place again, so I thought I'd come by for a spell. And I do need to discuss a matter of importance with you. In regards to your famous candies. Do you mind if I make some tea?"
"By all means, the tea is in the canister in the cupboard, the water should still be warm, but please don't use the silver pot, that's a bit 'special' Its been so long since I've had a guest out here, and now it seems I've had two today. What's happening in Jastrey for everyone to be coming out this way to find me again?"
Wreynn chuckles a bit to himself, "Its not like I've been hiding anywhere, its just that I didn't exactly feel welcome in town with the Cassitrans floating about. There's qutie a bit of bad blood between the clans, and I figured that I'd just keep my nose clean until their business in the area was concluded. Apparently, she needed to see me this whole time..." Wreynn trails off in thought. "So, whats this talk about candy?"
Glimmer goes to the kettle and pulls her tea cup from her pouch. She places some of Wreynn's teas in her cup and pours the water gracefully into the cup, only spilling a drop as she hiccups. She then finds a seat and begins.
'Well goodness gracious grief. A lot has happened since last we spoke. I am entrusted with the care of the gobbo boy, Grishal. The one that healed you after "The Dark Man" as he says assaulted you. I have had several run ins with your brother Alyial, but all seems to be well for now on that front. We've had an army tapse through her. One of the Cassitrains, Rasiri, is now and Empreyan Seer of sorts. Katri and I have a mutual respect for one another. Hmmmm...dear dear dear what else. Ahhh! Ripper, well Thorne as she is called now, had a minor run in with Rizzik. He's her Papa now if you hadn't heard."
Glimmer sips her tea and continues. "And as far as this candy. It seems rumours are abound that your candies have certain effects. There is a bardic gnome who lives in the tower with me. He'd like some of the candies. I of course would love some, and will pay accordingly. Oh and one more thing. Taklinn and I are finally betrothed. Do you plan to stay around a while? I'd certainly like to visit you more often. Jastrey is my home now, but it's so....quiet here."
Wreynn sits back and listens to the fairy recap the comings and goings of town since his most recent departure, nodding appropriately until she starts to talk about the town's obvious need for another influx of candies.
"Well, since nobody has seen my brother around in a while, I don't think that I'm going to have to go back into hiding any time soon. Do me a favor and thank that little green skin again for me and you're welcome to stop by whenever. Its always rather nice to have company out here."
Wreynn gets up to fix another cup of tea for himself, "So tell me, do Garrith and Astrum still run town? It would be nice to know that I wasn't known as a criminal around town again. The whole thing about the laws was an incredible sham, esecially considering that I heard they threw them all away shortly after I went into hiding."
Glimmer listens intenetly and replies "No no, Alyial hasn't been seen in ages, since the plague went around the soldiers in fact. There was an issue with Old Dalgoon's book, but he's no longer involved there, either. As for Garith and Astrum, they've only recently returned; same as you."
"The laws were thrown away after you left. However, we have a new set and a new magistrate. And unfortunately, a new sherriff who seems to run town as she wishes. Maiming the innocent and all. I'm sure you've heard of her, as she is Uordeq as well. Akon Nivarian. She had a succubus residing within her for a time. Ravinna Okain, but good ol' Joe Black helped her out on that one. We do have some town folk who seem to enjoy attacking one another and stealing each others shinies. However, none of them have the capacities at hand quite like you do."
Glimmer rises to pour more tea and continues. 'I shall visit more often now. Grishal has become quite dignified in my care. Bonified and even certified. He's known around town as Dr. Grishal. He's been instrumental in saving a good bit of the towns folk at one time or another. He has taken on a new project of attempting to learn how to shoot bandages into the fields of battle with rockets. Messy business. And yes, it does seem candies are needed."
"Well, it seems like town is doing rather well without me. I may have to visit more often from time to time. At the moment I'm hunting down rumors of someone peddling 'Goblin Candy'. A batch of concentrated," Wreynn pauses a moment to clear his throat, "special ingredient has gone missing, and I'm afraid of the health and welfare of anyone who might happen to ingest it raw."
He stands up and walks over to a small burlap sack next to the bookshelf. "If you're in need of candy back in town, I have a small, private batch that's left over from the time that Ariekins dissapeared. You're welcome to it. Its been nice having a quiet house again."
"I know this gobbo of which you speak. His name is Lopt, and he is the ward of Rasiri. Katri is Aunt Stabby to Lopt when he misbehaves. Feel free to confiscate it, as he hands it out quite freely. And I do hope you stay around. It's peaceful here. A nice escape from the goings on in town. I may consider bringing charges on this gobbo due to this information if he hands it out to any of our truly good citizens."
Glimmer sips her tea and says "And thank you for the candies. I shall keep them to myself for personal enjoyment. If you should ever need me, just send for me. And if I can assist you in any way with Lopt, I shall be happy too. I do miss Ariekins quite a lot."
"Who's there?" Wreynn's voice comes from inside the house, "Come in if you want, but take off your shoes and leave your weapons at the door."
