How does the intensity go up? i know i can't control but it says to get 40 armor you need 10 intensity so what level do you have that intensity?
Forget intensity. It's not there. You only need to worry about it when you're building actions from scratch; once they're built, it's already factored in. Just put it out of your mind. ;)
All that you need to know is that there is no Guard 40 version of Unyielding Defense, and that only 10th-level characters of the proper class have the ability to use Guard 40 effects. Right now, if you want a Guard 40, the only way to get it is to have a 10th-level disciple cast Major Aegis on you, or cast an expensive ritual version of it on you or a piece of your equipment. There will also be a Guard 40 action available to savages of 10th level or higher, but I haven't built it yet.
