Garith walks into the inn. Seating himself at the bar he calls out, "Has anyone seen Berly or Kirell recently?"
Roajo walks into the tavern takes a quick glance around and then pulls up a chair at the bar next to Garith. "The rumors of this town be fun seem to be quite true." Roajo says to no one in particular. He then turns to Garith and asks, "What opportunities are there here for an aspiring warrior such as myself?"
Crasist turns toward Stiers. "That is good news indeed. Perhaps that means I can finally take some rest. You're one of the travelers from the caravan the other day, aren't you? You must be quite hearty to survive such an attack and want to hunt such creatures afterward. I'd love to hear the tale of your victory."
Crasist spies the missive on the tavern door and steps closer to read it. He smiles. "Or maybe I'll read all about it in this 'Jastrey Gazette'."
"Yes Crasist, it is a tale I shall tell to inspire bravery in our allies, and fear in our foes for ages to come".
"But what news have you of your search for the "Damned Squire" Saul"?
Kirell asks as he enters the tavern.
"Rizzik was a maker of fiends, but somehow I doubt he was responsible for the condition of Saul".
"I fear there is more to this story, and I beleive you are the one that can tell it."
The Flamboyant Angori takes a seat next to the Holy Warrior, and getting as close as he can, he wispers in his ear.
"What say you Crasist"?
"I wish I was a headlight on a north bound train".
Garith turns to ?The Red Lady? (Roajo) and with a chuckle says, ? If you seek the opportunities of a warrior then you had best seek out Kevass or Dreygor for mentoring. Unless that is you wish to learn some magic from me.?
He then quickly turns to Beryl and asks, ? Would you be willing to mentor me in the ways of elemental magic and do you know what has happened to Adyslaine? I missed her departure during my travels.?
"All that is gold does not glitter not all those that wander are lost." -J.R.R. Tolkien
Beryl nods at Garith. "I'd be more than happy mentor you, Garith. Adyslaine herself taught me much of what I know."
"She was called away by the Library in Jastrey to take on a new position. She's currently travelling to some of the more accessible shards in order to obtain books for the Library that need to be restored. I think she's enjoying the work."
Crasist responds to Kirell in a dire tone. "I have searched high and low for my cursed squire. So far, I have found no trace of him. I can't explain it. I have hunted these creatures ever since I took my oath to the Brotherhood so many years ago. All of them leave a trail that can be followed, often all too easily. With Saul, it is if he has vanished from the face of the shard."
Crasist pauses and sip his ale. "If I had any leads, I would surely follow them, but the trail has grown much too cold at this point. For all I know, Saul fled these lands mests ago. I am left with no choice but to abandon the search until he reappears, which may not even be within my lifetime."
Crasist forces a weak smile. "It seems my duty here is done, then. Or as done as I can make it, at any rate. All save for one debt I still owe to this town and two of its protectors."
Kevass walks into the Tavern and sees Crasist talking to Kirell. Kevass greets Kirell "I apologize if I am interrupting my friends, but Sir Crasist one of our wizards in town has developed some sort of curse, and in his efforts to rid himself of his burden, he has inadvertantly blown himself up and severely injured himself. There is some sort of circle on the floor of the Merchants Hall. I would like to know what you think of it, and Thalenirs condition.
Corvax quietly comes in and sits at the bar away from everyone else. "Bar Keep I would like to see a wine list plz." he says. The bar tender looks at the robust elf as proclaims " I have two types of wine, sour and weak take your pick." Corvax rolls his eyes not wanting to spend his money on yucky or weak wine.He then says loudly " So who would like to buy a large Driud a drink?"
Sir Crasist smiles at Kevass as he enters and raises his mug. "There you are, my friend. Cheers to you and your brave companions on your victory over Scorsha's minions!"
Crasist furrows his brow with concern as he listens to Thalenir's plight. "I am happy to help in any way I can, Sheriff, although I know little of curses or the magic of wizards. I would just as soon sever the cursed limb and be done with it, but I know enough of such things to realize it may do more harm than good. I can have a look if you like, but I must confess I would be out of my depth."
Dreygor comes into the bar sweat beading from his brow and a smile on his face.
"Sheesh I swear these young ones are going to kill me before any foul beast gets a chance. All this training, and right after an exhausting battle"
Dreygor spies Sir Crasist and walks in his direction.
"Greeting Sir paladin. I asume you have heard the good news. Tell me what news of your squire? Were you able to find him?"
Crasist smiles and raises his mug to Dreygor. "I have. Congratulations on your victory. I was just telling Kirell that Saul has apparently disappeared without a trace, and that, without any leads, I have been forced to abandon the search for now. If he should turn up, I will, of course, pursue him. However, at the moment, I have a debt to repay to you and Kevass."
"What say you? Having seen the sort of perils that a valiant faces, are the two of you still prepared to undertake the Trials?"
Beryl stands up on her tiptoes beside the door, a pushpin in her mouth and a piece of paper in her hands. Stretching with a little grunt, she gets the paper placed at just the right height and affixes it to the wall. Hearing her name called, she turns, walks to the bar and hops up on the seat next to Garith.
"Greetings, Garith! You passed right by me there, although I'm not surprised. It happens often. How are you this day?"
