So did the Homunculus race vanish for addition of wifty, or did it just get pulled?

Hah, figures I would pick the unpopular race as the most interesting...next thing you know I will be wanting to play a Homunculus Ranger and then where will we be?!
I noticed there was not a lot of content in the racial abilities. Certainly no reason to make things more complicated, but it seemed like a race ripe for some very unique types of wifty! Once I'm sure I understand the entire ruleset I would certainly be willing to give some input on fleshing it out. (No pun intended?)

I'm glad you like them. I wish I could say I made them up from scratch, but I took a lot of inspiration from Fullmetal Alchemist (best anime series of all time). Our motto around here is quickly becoming, "If you like it, own it," so if you want to develop them further, be my guest.
As far as wifty abilities, I'd advise you to choose carefully. Most races have no more than three racial actions of varying levels because they're so cheap compared to everything else. I know I had considered the idea of giving them things like self Disguise effects (Changeling) and possibly packet-delivered Strike effects that inflict tox damage (Acidic Blood). Any other ideas are welcome.

No worries. Consideration is good, but unbalanced things will either be removed from play or not be allowed in at all. Read as, "Balance will be forced upon you, whether you like it or not."

A lot of the information you may have previously seen on the website was always intended to be restricted content (e.g., warlocks); we just had it out for all to see so others could work on it as well. In the case of homunculi, nobody was expressing much interest in playing them, so I removed them as an open race choice and replaced them with the urdek. The rationale here is to keep the number of "weird" race choices to a minimum so as not to overwhelm new players.
That being said, if you're interested in playing one, just let me know and it can be arranged. :)
