Katri had bolted away from the book and ran off down the road in search of Takklin. She jogged first to the Warrior's Hall, and then to the forge and the Healer's den. She had heard the deputy in the Tavern and skipped there, checking by the town post before continuing to other places along the roads in Jastrey, calling for the Dwarf.
Finding no sign of Takklin in town, Katri turns back to the road leading out of Jastrey. She passed by the group on the road and found herself face to face with the black flowers once more. She shuddered, gazing at them. The memory of her las experience with the foul plants burned her memory. She suppressed a wince and drew her bow closer to herself, gritting her teeth as the images played once more. Perhaps, she told herself, it was best to leave the search for the Dwarf to the deputy. After all, she and Takklin weren't on the best of terms. She was about to kick at the loathsome flowers when the scream of Akon amidst a torrent of others. Her head snapped up and she rand back to the book and the direction of the screams.
