Working on Disciples

So, we've got rogues, warriors, savages, and monks to a state of testability, if not completion. Now that we've got the primary combatants out of the way, it's time to start working on support classes, and the disciple is first on my list.

As you may have already guessed, disciples are primarily a healing class. Druids are slated to be healers as well, although there will be stark differences between the two.

In addition to healing, disciples will have a variety of other actions, including individual and group buffs, abilities that remove status ailments, and a special brand of "retort" action that allows them to retributively attack those who attack them first.

Since they're currently being put together, I'm open to suggestions about what they should have. Jessi, I know you want a collection of emergency/getaway abilities. Are there any other lingering ideas out there about what the disciple should get?

To say that a class's abilities are "done" is a bit misleading. Any class can have more abilities added or changed. There is nothing to say that a warrior couldn't have a retort ability that countered an ability and also retorted that ability back to an opponent.
Ruin!
Counter, retort ruin!
Of course that would burn two ruins and a retort. But it may be fun. Bottom line is that no class will ever truly be "done". But they have been developed to a point that we feel they will pass initial testing with their current ability sets. This is just to clarify that the classes are not closed to further development.

Quite right. Thank you for the correction. When I say done, I only mean done enough to test and play. I fully expect all of the classes will develop more over time as more and more creative people add their ideas. In fact, that's why I made the system the way I did.
