The Missive Spoken

Scene Notes
--RP Notes Vipinbehari--
[What do you know?] Arkrist, after betraying Antasia, has been missing from immortal interactions. You as Immortal of finding lost things have located something he seems to have lost.
[What did he lose?] One of his Ordained, a Drunkard by the name of Nídscyld (Nee-d-chewl-d). He should be able to tell Alathos where the Immortal of Heroes hides. The Ordained can be found frequenting the tavern, Aghosta's Duty, in Poulo.
[What is unknown?] Arkrist betrayed Antasia and Banekeril by forsaking his duty, but his reasoning is unknown. He now avoids the other Immortals dwelling out of their view almost neglecting his Immortal calling for unknown reasons.
[Directive?] Gather a group and investigate this information and confront Arkrist as to his disappearance and betrayal.
Narrative
With Vipinbehari's help you find passage to the Rican Isle of Poulo. As you step from the sea fairing vessel onto the docks the smells of warm spices fill your nostrils. They mix with the warm sun and the smell of lemons growing from local trees to fill you with a sense comfort, which is quickly shattered by the realization of the dangers the marketplace holds. Shady figures lurk in the shadows, and sly smiles greet you as outsiders and easy markers. Against the odds you manage your way to your destination without confrontation. A derelict bar off a side street. The inside sprawls and climbs up three stories. The floors above stacks on top of each other while maintaining an openness to the central open air column of the bar. The patrons turn as you enter and all grows quiet. A voice, speaking soft but firm, "easy prey has come to play". In a flash you find yourself surrounded by cloaked cut throats.
Scene Notes
>Combat
Monsters: Pirates
Narrative
You stand breathing heavy. The first wave of thieves lay dead at your feet. As more begin to close in on you a grizzled drunk voice "What business do you have here Heroes?". A man with a long unkept grey beard and adorned with ragged robes steps forward.
Scene Notes
The man is Nídscyld ordained of Arkrist. If the players say they are looking for the Ordained of Arkrist, they will have to get through him first.
>Combat
Monster: The Stranger
ANNOUNCE: The Stranger is an epic monster
Narrative
As the stranger takes a knee he raises his hand in submission before standing and walking towards the stairs waving for you to follow. Ascending the tower of balconies you arrive at the top and the stranger takes a seat in the corner.
Scene Notes
--RP Notes Nídscyld--
(Nee-d-chewl-d)
Nídscyld is a drunk grouchy old man who would rather go back to drinking. He is only talking to the players because they bested him in a bout. If cured his demeanor will improve instead being more of a grizzled, wizen hero feeling dejected by his immortal.
[Who are you] Nídscyld ordained of Arkrist, guardian and last cleric of the temple of Heroes.
[Why did you attack them] You had to make sure the they were worth talking to, and breaking from drinking.
[Why are you here] You were getting drunk with friends until bothered. (Even thieves, and scoundrels need a hero)
[Where is Arkrist] Off in his realm in the Aether watching what lies beyond or something.
[How to get to Arkrist] Only an ordained of Arkrist can reach his realm by using one of the Heroic Prophecies.
[What are the Heroic Prophecies] Arkrist's relic weapons. Different armaments used by him prior to ascending that now mark someone as an Ordained of Arkirst. Arkrist doesn't choose his Ordained if a suitable Hero picks up one of the Prophecies they are endowed as a Arkristian Hero or Ordained. This grants the ordained the ability to travel to his realm as a safe haven, train ground, etc. This also separates normal heroes from followers of the Immortal of Heroes and Champions.
[Can you take them] No it was lost a time ago. In fact most of the relics have been lost, destroyed, or corrupted. There were twelve at one time, including yours, but you can only remember the six most recent cut off the list of them for the players. If they bring him one of the weapons he can open the portal to Arkrist's Domain for them.

Narrative Effects
Insight (Very Hard): [FAIL] The man is truthful in what he says....[PASS] but you get the sense that there are secrets that he is still hiding.
Inspect Wound (Easy): He's extremely drunk
Consult Arkrist (Impossible): You get no response and feel ignored.
Inspect Aura (Medium): Nídscyld hold the aura of an ordained.
