As things seem to settle down, Ling has gone off and aquired a tent and set up a small camp outside of town. Not knowing what to do next in this strange world, but not wanting to stray too far from those he has met. For the moment he will likely stick around and work for whoever hires him to do anything...
Ling walked out of his tent dipping his hands in a bucket and then drying them off with a red cloth, which didn't seem like it started that way. "Hello friend," he wasn't wearing his gambison or armor, however he didn't look relaxed. Rather he looked more on edge than a dwarf on a boat, "How can I help you with a drink? Its about as much as I can offer so far in your strange world."
Ling poured his duskling ally a drink, something strong that he was able to find, and handed it to him; sitting across the fire from him. "Collecting a tear is fine and all, but what are you doing about your people?" he asked, crossing his arms and tilting his head. "You and your own can get back to the fighting that you left behind, or you can unite and be able to begin to take your home back. Unless you want to take somewhere else." Ling looked up at the sky, almost as if he was bored or wanted to do something, anything else. Maybe fight. "Regardless, your people wont survive if you too busy fighting amongst yourself."
Peleus took his drink and drank it in one shot. "My people..... My people have no leader. There a few of us in number these days. Many have gone into hiding. Not that they're scared, but with out lordship in pieces few know where to turn. Many turn on each other like wild animals." Peleus sitting back against a tree looked to the sky, "Once I was a royal body guard to the king of the urdeq. But when he was sent to see an old friend, I like many of my brothers were banished for fear of us taking revenge. And now here I am alone, penniless and with nothing more then the clothes on my back." Peleus took a deep breath, "Maybe one day my kind will get there act together but for now I drink."
A small pin point of light appears on the edge of the road in front of the camp. It instantly expands into a portal from which Rune steps. Once the construct is through, the portal snaps shut. Rune's markings glow brightly, but dim as it realizes the fire is of no consequence. "Elf, there is housing available to the denizens of Jastrey. There is no need to camp on the side of the road. This one can show you..." The golem glances at the Urodeq, "...and your companion to these accommodations." emits from the golem in a flat tone.
"Shiny!!!!" A loud exclamation is heard before the bubbly fae pops out of the woods headed straight for the glowing blue construct. "Why are you out here so late at night shiny?!! Don't you sleep? You look too big for our tent or else I'd offer you a place to stay!" She rocks back onto her heels and peers curiously up at the tall metal contraption her hands still on Rune's arm
"Ah yes, Construct Rune. I am well aware of the housing within Jastery." Ling stated as he turned toward the construct, pointing at his Urodeq friend, "Not an elf, and I at least prefer to be able to go, if need be. All of my equipment is ready to go." He took a drink of his ale and stared into the cup. "Besides, i already aquired this wonderful tent."
Pileus looks to the golem, "The darkness covers me and embraces me. I like it that way unlike some may be afraid of the creatures that go bump in the night. I am one of those creatures." He then takes his sword and plunges it into the fire picking out a bright coral and flings it into the darkness. "Look fae a firefly."
The golem addresses the fae first, "This one has accommodations in the Tower. This one wanted to be sure that this wasnt a scout camp of Sons. Also, this one does not sleep." Rune then turns its attention to the males, "This one does not understand. Why not take advantage of far sturdier cabins, or build a more permanent structure. This one is sure many of the creatures in this area would have little trouble breaking into a tent." Rune simply glances at the urodeq, saying nothing.
Nava glances at the smoldering coal doubtfully her wings and attitude suddenly low. "No. That's a coal. And a good way to set the forest on fire." She turns back to the large glowing giant in front of her. "Oh that's nice." She yawns and turns and goes to the tent. "I'm tired now. Goodnight."
Tari ponders his invite. She had been traveling a long time and had a weakness for the man's poison. "Very well." She dropped the coal in his drink and reached to pour herself a fresh cup with her good hand. "And what should I call you deki?" she glances at the uordeq.
Volrog the angori plods down the path, his self-made 'choppa' holstered upwards from his belt and the flat of the blade bouncing upon his shoulder in rhythm with the stomping strides. Lost in his own thoughts, the populated encampment doesn't even register as he passes it by. However not even 10 yards down the road from the camp, a sudden urge overtakes all cognitive thought, and Volrog charges off into the bushes, reaching for his belt. An ominous sound escapes from the concealing brush, a battle barely won in time.
Shortly afterwards, Volrog comes back out on the road. Slightly sweaty from the sudden interruption, the angori continues down the road, resuming his pondering of angori and honor, what-is-right versus what-works-well, guided strength versus overwhelming strength...
Ling closed his eyes and shook his head as he went to get more cups for the gathering group of people. "Rune it isn't about staying in a permanant structure. And yes beings could enter my tent easilly, but it also means I could get out just as easily." He started pouring and handing drinks to the new comers, as well as some medicine. "Here Tali something for your hand, and come Volrog, drink with us friend." He said holding out a drink. "Besides Rune, fires attract people. And usually you can't have a fire like this in the town." he smiled and went to go get another barrel of Mountian Ale from the back of his tent.
Rune's lights pulse for a moment before responding to the elf and urodeq before him, " Elf, you logic is fair. Fire does tend to bring organic life together, although this one must point out there are several fire pits and places within the town. There is even one in the Shady Corners, which would serve your current needs. This one does not have the ability to take in liquids as an organic would."
The fae saw the large collection of people on the road. Fluttering ahead she notices Rune calling out to him since she is the only one she recgonizes "Rune who are new friends you have seem to gathered?" She said laughing as she glanced over the faces infront of her. "I dont beleive I have ever seen them around these parts before"
Tari was well into her fourth drink and studied the approaching fae. She is quite lovely she thought. What pretty wings.Tari's eyes started to linger too long. Oohhhh Noooooo! I need to stop now. I do NOT want to spend another month getting glitter off. damn this poison.
"I'm sure it would make for quite a laugh" Tari stood up with a little less then elvish grace and held her hand out to the fae to shake. "I'm Tari and the Angori is Volrog, my traveling companion. Ling has graciously offered us rest and refreshment." Tari, now closer to Rune, could not believe she was so close to a real life golem.
Peleus approaches and inquires what to do with the single tier he collected from Blanch Devoro during there first adventure.
