Poppy fluttered through the library looking for a certain healer. The fae glance behind her to make sure she has lost Bianca in the maze of books. "I am sure aunt Athena will be excited to see how much you have grown and what not." The fae said with a toothy grin. "We just have to find her first" She said in a big huff. The fae cupped her hands around her mouth before calling out between the shelves again. "Athena! You wont guess who I have brought to visit."
Down the row but behind the child, Rune appears via teleportation. After the book hits the ground, "One should show respect to books while in the Tower, little one." emits from the construct in a deep bass. Stone protests and groans as Rune squats to be nearer eye level to Bianca. "You have grown alot over the winter. How are your studies?"
Hearing her name called out in a familiar voice, Althena rose from her chair, taking time to mark the page of the tome she was reading with her bookmark. Quickly and carefully blowing out her reading lamp, the healer left her chambers and descended the stairs, walking quietly into the library. Seeing her fae friend, a smile crossed her face and she called out the fae's name, "Poppy! I am so pleased to see that you've returned! How is...?" she turned slighly, startled by the thumping of a book hitting the floor and then by Rune's booming voice. "Bianca?" she asked as she rounded the corner of the shelves, seeking out the riven child.
Surprised by the armful of riven, Althena accepts the hug, and returned it carefully. "Bianca? By the Cleansing Fire! You have grown, my girl." She pushes the girl away to get a better look at her, smiling all the while as she pulls her in for another hug. "I have missed you! I hope you behaved yourself for Aunt Poppy."
Ohren grumbles slightly and sluggishly makes his way over to Rune. He begins knocking on the Golem in various places and attempting to place his ear against him and listen.
"How does bear stay... IN tower..." He blinks a bit. "Is you hollow?"
He scratches his head a bit as he ponders and looks Rune up and down.
Rune remains motionless as it is frisked by the hungry bear. "This one does not eat. It carries no food. Perhaps you should go hunting." In a louder tone, Rune says, "Unless of course you wish to entertain our small guest. This on has read about young children's love of teddy bears."
Poppy smiles lightly watching the two greet each other. "No, I haven't went to fetch Goose yet. I will soon though" She said shaking her head a bit of uncertainty in her face. "Are they staying in there usual place? I know things were a bit chaos with the bears before I left. "She said pausing as she hears the babbling of the two wizards. A frown forms very firmly on the fae's face familiar with his rule. "No, Burr I assure Bianca can in fact do arithmetic."
Somewhere deep in the woods around Jastrey a bird lands lightly on Goose's shoulder and chirps.
"What's up, little guy? [Commune Nature] You don't say. Well thank you for the message. I'll make my way over." He pulled a small piece of bread from his pouch for the bird before shifting into his Wild Form and making his way toward town. He arrives some time later, shifting back into his normal self as he approached the door of the Library and entered.
A crooked smile on her face, Althena pats the Riven child upon one shoulder. "Sometimes, it is just best to not encourage Orhen." She glances over at the Grarl and continues, "He can be a big teddy bear sometimes, but I think he is truly motivated by his stomach." She looks back at Orhen. "Orhen. Bianca is not on your menu. Nor are other children, whether they can do math or not. I hope you remember this."
Hearing a familiar ruckus, usually reserved for the doors of the tavern, Althena grins, hugging Bianca across the shoulders. "I think your Uncle Goose is here," she tells the young Riven before releasing her and stepping to the chamber's doorway. Spying the dryad and fae walking toward the room, she calls out, "Goose! Bianca would be very gladdened to see you."
Bored, Bianca shuffled behind Poppy. Her one fae wing slapping against the bookshelves, row by row, when she glanced someone putting away books. She slithered over to the opposite side of the shelf they were working. Then, as the they were shelving, “A Summarized History of Varalon,” still hidden, Bianca reached up and pushed the book back. She heard the thump as it hit the floor.
