Rules
- Start from the top of the Character Builder and work your way down to avoid errors that are easy to hit. If you modify something further up the sheet in the top section (Name through Prestige), it's good to go double check the other entries below it to make sure you make a valid character.
- Example - If you chose the Arcane Archetype with an Aspect, then switch to the Brawn Archetype, make sure to update your Path and Aspect fields.
- Make sure to fill in EVERY Ability choice before checking the License. It doesn't break anything if you check early, but it may give Invalid Input errors or not show anything until you finish each column. If you're not seeing your abilities in the License page, check this first.
- You have to select a Combat Trigger before selecting the Combat Effect.
- You set your Ability Priority descending from the top of the list of Passives, Combat Triggers/Effects, and Narratives.
- The first ability you choose from each category is your 1st Priority and is cheapest. There is no modifier to the Effective Level (EL) of the ability outside of the Trigger.
- Each row you go down lowers the Priority by 1 to a minimum Priority of 5.
- Each Priority you go down is a +5 EL increase, which increases the Experience (XP) requirement of the Ability. XP is calculated as EL^2.
- Character Level (CL) is the level you have to be to unlock this Ability fully. If it is the final ability in a chain, such as Stop or 3 Hits, it will unlock the abilities leading up to it (Slow -> Snare -> Stop or 2 Hits -> 3 Hits) automatically in the License sheet as you hit the appropriate level. It does not show this chain or the XP which you will get these on the Character Builder yet, but will be included in a future enhancement.
- You can always check the License page to see if you have what you want at your level, or adjust the Level field on the Player Input page and re-check the License page to see when you get it.
