Cassandra is a human who has existed since before the Shattering, and once led the charge against the avatar of Etejeril. Shortly before the Shattering, Istensia entered the body of Cassandra to prevent being destroyed during the cataclysmic event. This changed Cassandra, warping her perspective of human events and morality - leading her to twist the dogma of her immortal just enough to allow for radical, immoral actions to be taken in their fight against necromancy.
