Legend has it that weapons of great power circulate throughout the entirety of Orn; whether intentionally made or gaining strength through valor or myth, the Soulwrought are weapons that contain spirits which lend their prowess to the wielder in times of strife, sometimes outright possessing them.
A large, hairy, buffalo-like creature hunted by the angori for food and sport. Their meat is tough and chewy, but their large numbers make them vital to the survival of most tribes. Bacca are often hunted by scaring them toward pits or cliffs, so the term is also used to insult someone for being stupid or clumsy.
Though the Shattering divided the world, for most, life went on; not so for the residents of Nastal, whose world ended that day. While most of Orn suffered little lasting damage from the Shattering, the lands of Nastal endured unparalleled exposure to the Void. Some say that the troubles that plague Nastal are the result of weakened boundaries between realms, but whatever the reason much of northern Nastal is a wasteland where soulless raiders hunt any travelers who are too slow to evade them. These are the Soulshorn.
The Baevern are a race of beaver-like beings who vanished from the world during the Shattering. They resemble giant beavers that became as tall as dwarfs upon reaching maturity. They possess a unique connection to the element of wood and are known to use it in every aspect of their culture. They even have a technique for making wooden armor as durable as steel, but the exact details have been lost to time.
