A Knight of the Road, typically meets with potential customers in person. This is often the whole point of traveling. It is common for some Knights of the Road to travel door-to-door to make sales to people at home, while others may simply visit customers along a specific route. For example, a Knight of the Road, who sells wholesale products may visit all of the taverns within an area. The first records of the term Knight of the Road come from the early times following the break up of the shards. These travelers would bring products, trading with all they could interest. Then they would turn around and tirelessly make the trip back home, along a familiar route. This work brought goods to the souls who were in need during the unsettling early mestruns. Although, Knights of the Road were not seen in widespread areas until nearly an age later.They often have to be on the road for long stretches of time, but some prefer to set their boots firmly at home, only traveling enough to 'get the word out' about current products.
