Character Standards

The following standards apply to your character's background, as well as any blog posts you write about them.

  • Do not give your character a title. Your character may have nobility or royalty in their background, but may not be an officially-recognized bearer of a noble or royal title (e.g., Sir, Baron, Lord, King, etc.).
  • Assume basic living necessities. Your character earns enough of a living to get by, owns basic odds and ends, lives in a modest home (e.g., cottage, farm, cave, temple, ship), and meets other menial obligations such as rent or taxes. You're free to detail these aspects of your character's life within reason if you so choose, but their net effect on your resources is always neutral. If you choose to cohabitate with other characters, you must ask their permission beforehand.
